Gobekli Tepe Earrings

The "Navel Hill" in the Tas Tepelar region is home to decorated T pillars with relief carvings of animals, abstract lines and curves from the pre-pottery Neolithic. Giant pillars are arranged in oval shaped temples at the top of a hill and lay buried under the earth for over 11,ooo years until recently. Excavations are on going nearby, revealing a diversity of structures built in a similar way over a vast area.
